It's 2010, and by now we all know that women want a man that projects an image of confidence and strength. The tricky part is, do we have to out of our way to display it, or will it naturally ease itself out? No one wants to look arrogant, but many do not know how to avoid it while attempting to be confident. These are some quotes regarding confidence:
Confident people have a broader sphere of influence, and earn more loyalty and respect than those who just use bravado.”
Confident people are totally okay with other people knowing nothing about what they have accomplished.”
The truth is that being an arrogant person may serve you in the short term, it rarely relates in lasting relationships built on a foundation of loyalty and trust. Arrogant people will usually find themselves surrounded by lots of fair-weather friends who try to exploit them for things, but at the first sign of trouble all you will see is their backs as they run for the hills.”
I think you can always tell how confident a person is about themselves by the way they respect or treat the ‘little people,’ they never look like they are trying hard to impress other people, and never put others down around them to come out the better person.”
Arrogance
I think it’s okay to be arrogant as long as you’re getting the desired outcomes you want.”
Arrogance is fine, it conveys a sense of power to control situations and others which is essential in leadership.”
Accomplished people naturally come off as arrogant.”
Being both a cocky and funny guy is one of the surefire ways to spark attraction with women.”
I'd love to hear opinions on this. Does an arrogant/boastful demeanor ever pay off and deliver the goods? How do you keep the balance between confidence and cockiness in check?

NOOOOOO.... people will always have disdain for the arrogant. Look at Puff.

You need a spoonful of HUMILITY in there... always recognizing where you come from and nothing is keeping you from going back but God.
I think being thankful and showing that everynow and then. Also, don't just acknowledge your achievements, acknowledge others and congratulate them.
@ Nicki and J:
Very good points. But often times, no matter how humble you are, some people don't like to see others prosper. Not matter what you do, people will have their opinion.
If you are arrogant, fine by me... just have what it takes to back tht shyt up! lol
"some people don't like to see others prosper. Not matter what you do, people will have their opinion. "
And this is so true. ;)
Arrogance- Gauging people's worth by your own standards and pretending that such a thing is worth celebrating and is encouraged.
Confidence- Understanding that if those same peoples judgments and assesments about a situation or person mattered so much then there wouldn't be so many problems in the world. (i.e. would poking fun at fat kids solve childhood obesity? Would making fun of the jobless help the economy?)
let that marinate.
the only people who find me arrogant are insecure people.
