SwagStars and Generals, what's the word? It's been a tragic and stunning week with the deaths of Michael Jackson and Farrah Fawcett. I hope all the readers realize that life is precious and live for today because tomorrow isn't promised. Now down to business. Ladies, I know that I've written some controversial sh*t in the past, but this one might just take it there. I have to address this issue. I'm really tired of seeing this. When my pops and even my uncle say something about this particular issue, then something needs to be said.
Ladies...what in the hell is wrong with ya'll stomachs? Why do you ya'll insist on wearing tight ass shirts and your belly is hanging over your pants? That's not cute!!! I don't know who told you it was, but that isn't what's up. Now ladies, please don't take offense. This blog isn't for the ladies who have a "pooch". Everybody has a "pooch". This blog is for the ladies who just have a beer belly and refuse to either hide or do something about it. I understand that some folk just don't have the time to workout, just had a baby or plain just like to eat and that's cool, but what is wrong with a girdle or those "slimming sleeves" you can purchase on one of those infomercials? Again, ladies I'm not trying to be disrespectful or mean, but somebody has to say it. This needs to stop. My grandmother and I were talking about this "issue"and she told me that the ladies who had a belly back her day would wear girdles. I'm looking back to when I was in high school and college and don't recall ladies just flaunting their stomachs like they are today. In my opinion, that's just not sexy. It just looks....BAD!!! Maybe having a belly for a young lady is in style. I don't know.

I don't think you are being disrespectful at all.... they are disrespecting our eyes by doing it.
There are too many clothes (that will disguise this) and too many inventions (SPANX) that we were blessed with in order to not have to walk around looking like this.
STOPPIT!
i just want to know why there aren't more black women at the gym. lets keep it real.
I concur with that comment. I think its regional though. In California, Florida and other coastal states and even in the NY, the sista's are in the gym, but I guess in the midwest, that is sorely not the case. It is what it is.
im going to tell you why they dont care because:
1. BIG GIRLS are getting dick downed i mean getting their BACKS BLOWN THE FCUK OUT....
2. eithers it baby weight or just big bonededness or what ever fat aint gone stop no one from gettting it n...
3. but i am with you though get yo ass in the gym
4 and yes i have done my thing with the moniques & ms. berry... its all warm & gushy in the end... a belly aint gone change that!!!!
so when the belly stops a chick from pressing her hands from up against that headboard & speaking in arabic... aint nuthin gonna change..
sincerely,
mr.anaanamus
first off i'm not saying I disagree...as being one of those females with a "small pooch" who works out on the regular and that just doesnt seem to go away...anyway I digress.
Anyway...Men need to understand that girdles/spanx are HOT AS HELL! Especially in the summertime. Ya'll always want us to be pussy fresh...sweating all up in there trying to keep our bellies in isnt going to do the trick. Just like stockings in the summer time...not gonna happen buddy...ITS HOT!
I'd like to see a man wear a girdle or some damn spanx and see how he likes it. Spanx cuts off the circulation sometimes...
I do not disagree tho! A mushroom top on a female is not attractive. I know personally i wear loser tops because if a particular top/outfit doesnt look good I won't wear it. But I will put on something tight if i'm looking good in it. I guess it depends on the female and how secure she is with her body.
Bottom line...it comes down to self respect and how a lady carries herself...some girls just dont care.
I'm Fly, I can agree with you to a certain extent. However, in today's society people come in all shapes & sizes. I personally, don't think that being very skinny is attractive. I don't want no skinny man. I like my men "Buff" or to have a nice figure.
I believe it to be the same with most men. I think times are changing, people are finding beauty in other things besides if a girl wears a size 1 or 6.
Actually, I also think that men like girls with meat on their bones. So that they can have something to hold on to a night when they are all boo'd up with their cuddy buddy!!
Keepin it real,
La-La
agreed. some women do need to take better care of themselves, but the same goes for the men out there who are just as careless.
I don't believe woman should show their guts so I agree with you there. I have an "almost flat" stomach but if my stomach does not even appear to "look" flat then I change my outfit. Nontheless, I know plenty of women that show of their guts and to be quite honest this is the first time in a long time that I have heard a man complain about it. The gut busting over look has been going on for at least a year now,(way too long). Someone is telling these woman their guts are ok. I'm not sure why or how, but somehow these woman are getting the impression its OKAY.
