SwagStars, I hope the weekend treated you right but the work week is back so let's get it going. With the summer slowly leaving us and the holiday season on the way, I want you'll to pay attention to your eating habits. For the past 6 months I've been working on my weight but more importantly my health and it has paid off. Just to bring it home, I've lost about 25 pounds and have maintained this current weight for over a month. My cholesterol and blood pressure have lowered. More importantly, I have more energy and feel better about myself. No that's not me in the picture. So I know plenty of you are thinking I went to crazy lengths to do this but I really didn't. I made minor changes in my eating habits and worked out a little more. Now I still have some bad habits like drinking when I go out or enjoying BBQs too much but I'm better overall. The first thing I did was stop buying red meat for my household. I still eat it when I go out but I don't keep it in the house. I eat turkey products and seafood (not chicken, but turkey). Next I started working out regularly, like 3 to 4 times a week. A common misconception is that lifting weights does everything. People fail to do enough cardio workouts to burn fat. So I did a half hour of cardio and then lifted weights when I went to the gym. The last thing I did was drink more water and layoff the sugary stuff. So if you have trouble holding a diet or going crazy with the gym try out my personal plan.
Now in no way am I acting as some personal trainer or doctor. I just know that even though many of us look good, we still aren't healthy. I hope all of you are conscious of your body and keeping healthy. Tell me what you got?

I absolutely co-sign this this blog! Eating healthy = Feeling better! Not to mention healthy people have some of the BEST FUCKIN' SEX EVA!!!!!
Believe me when I say this! I had one helluva sex drive when I was a lil overweight, yet when I dropped those pounds and start eating healthy, I WAS FUCKIN LIKE A RABBIT REAL TALK! I was less tired and my sexual stamina increased severely! ORGASMS & NEW SEXUAL POSITIONS GALORE!!!!!!
Okay, yet aside from great sex perks, overall I feel happier and I smile more than those around me. I don't eat fast food (aside from Subway and some Chi-Town healthy eats spots). I monitor my sugar and junk food intake very closely! And I say HELL NO to pop/soda!
Yo Mr. Swagger, thank you sincerely for bloggin' about this topic. Mutha fuckas would be so much damn happier and able to cope with stress better if they would simply alter their damn food intake. Eating healthy truly clears the mind.
Most people eat a bunch of food that has ABSOLUTELY NO NUTRUITIONAL VALUE....then they wonder why the fuck they be so damn down and out, or frownin, or overly stressed, or not fucking on a regular, or buggin' the fuck out all the time..... right? PEOPLE LISTEN!!!!!!!!!!! Eat right...
Forever Fabulous,
The Single Dame
P.S. Fuck a spell check! LoL!
good blog post
you'd be amazed at how small changes in your diet and a little bit of exercise goes a long way
I recently gained 25lbs...I dont look bad..but im afraid of what my cholesterol will say (it was high last I checked)..
I was also kinda too skinny..I prefer this size..but I may have to let the vainess go because I need to be healthier
Keep it up
I've recently lost 25 lbs but that was due to stress so that is NOT the way to lose weight...
BUT I've kept it off by eating right and exercising.
J McFly is right when he said you need a mixture of cardio AND weights. Weightlifting turn your fat to muscles and the cardio helps you drop that water weight...plus exercises your heart.
Also remember with fruits/vegetables..the darker the fruit/vegetable the healthier it is for you. So your spinach salads, your blueberries, raspberries...etc. Eat lots of those
I do allow myself one day to indulge. It's hard to quit cold turkey and it'll have you back to your bad eating habits in no time.
And remember...that sex is a GREAT WAY TO WORK OUT...but be careful and mind your emotions because what feels good isn't always good for you...
great advice and you show how just a lil dedication and minor changes help. My problem is that I just want to tone and I gain muscle fast! and that's not cute on a lady to me. I'm just focusing on the good eating habits right now... I have a bad sweet tooth, very bad.
